Getting to be such a big girl...

Nana gave Evy a bath in her little pool. Figuring out how to climb
This is how we start the day in our house.

Playing outside

In the wagon w/ her cousins

Evy loves to go swimming

Evy likes to play with the baby doll we gave her for her birthday. This is how she carries her around.

Learning to feed herself

Trip to Simi Valley

Here's Evy and Elly hanging out at the playground in Simi Valley.
The girls loved Nana and Grandpa's water pump fountain.

Here's Evy playing the piano w/ Grandpa.

Evy's First Birthday Party

On August 7th we threw a birthday party for Evelyn in our backyard.
Nana made her this cat cake. Evy loves cats! (And she stuck her finger in the frosting when she saw her cake.)

Grandma Nachtigall looked at her birthday photo album with her.
Look at all these presents! Evy is playing w/ cousins Elly and Eden.
First taste of cake an ice cream.
Since Evy and Rylan (5th cousin) were born only 9 days apart, they opened their first gifts to each other together.

Eden picked out the book Baby Bear... to give to Evy. She read/ sang it to her right away. It quickly became one of Evy's favorites.

Mom and Dad gave Evy her first baby doll (to get her excited about having a baby sister).

She loves this card that came w/ her cat towel from Nana and Grandpa.
What kind of party would it be if we didn't feed the pond fish?!

Grandma and Grandpa Nachtigall gave her this great little people village.

On her actual birthday, August 18th, our neighbors and great friends, the Holfords came over to celebrate with some birthday pazookies.

One year old!

Evelyn is 1 year old! Aunt Sarah took all these beautiful pictures of our birthday girl at Uncle John and Aunt Val's house in August.

Wilkinson Family Camp Out

When I (Crystal/ Mom) was younger, we had Wilkinson Family Camp Outs every summer. This year, over 15 years since the last one, we had another! It was so great to get to know each other again, and to meet each others' spouses, kids, and friends.
Thanks to my cousin Mollie who took most of these pics w/ her powerful camera and photography skills.
Here's our big group (from left, top-ish row): Grandpa, Nana, cousins Andrew & Michelle, 2nd cousin Ben, Lexy, Lexy's friend, Uncle Rob, Aunt Anna, Eden, Uncle Ken, Elly
(bottom-ish row): Dad, Mom, Evy, cousins Mollie & Andy, and 2nd cousin Natalie
One of the most memorable parts of our trip was this pesky bear, Tito, who liked to come around our camp looking for snacks. Here he is looking down on our site.
We sent him away empty handed.
Good thing Mom hid the snacks!

Uncle Rob w/ his arms full of Ben and Evy (5 months apart).

Everyone loves Evy's Dad! (And all us Mom's especially loved him at this moment while we were making dinner).

"I'll show you how to use it, Ben."

The men took the little ones for a walk in the morning.

Aunt Crystal read books to neices Elly, Eden, and cousin Natalie.

Nana read one of our favorite books to all the kids. They're all so captivated by it!

Grandpa and Nana with their grand girls
Perfect baby blue eyes! I love this picture.

On a hike.

Dad took a turn wearing Evy too.

If you look closely, you'll see that I'm wearing one of my old Wilkinson Family Camp Out t-shirts. I'm a little surprised it still fit but I had to wear it to bring back such fun memories. What a great camp out! Here's to many more!
