Wilkinson Family Camp Out
When I (Crystal/ Mom) was younger, we had Wilkinson Family Camp Outs every summer. This year, over 15 years since the last one, we had another! It was so great to get to know each other again, and to meet each others' spouses, kids, and friends.
Thanks to my cousin Mollie who took most of these pics w/ her powerful camera and photography skills.
Here's our big group (from left, top-ish row): Grandpa, Nana, cousins Andrew & Michelle, 2nd cousin Ben, Lexy, Lexy's friend, Uncle Rob, Aunt Anna, Eden, Uncle Ken, Elly
(bottom-ish row): Dad, Mom, Evy, cousins Mollie & Andy, and 2nd cousin Natalie
One of the most memorable parts of our trip was this pesky bear, Tito, who liked to come around our camp looking for snacks. Here he is looking down on our site.
We sent him away empty handed.
Good thing Mom hid the snacks!
Uncle Rob w/ his arms full of Ben and Evy (5 months apart).

Everyone loves Evy's Dad! (And all us Mom's especially loved him at this moment while we were making dinner).
"I'll show you how to use it, Ben."
Nachtigall Family Camp Out
At the end of July we went on a family camp out with Dad's side. Here we all are around the campfire.
From left: Lily, Uncle Tad, cousin Megan, Grandma, Aunt Sarah, cousin Maddie, Evy, Joel, Dad, cousin Ashley, Mom, cousin Cade, Aunt Jenny, Uncle John, Grandpa.
And you can't see her yet, but hiding in Mommy's tummy is Evy's tiny baby sister! We had just found out about her a day or two before this picture.

Walking!
Three days shy of 11 months old, Evelyn is walking on her own! We're so proud of our girl! We took this video about 10 minutes after she started walking. (We were a bit too enamored to grab the camera at first). She is heading toward one of her favorite attractions, the open dishwasher. At the end of the video it looks like she takes a mean spill but she actually caught herself on the door of the dishwasher with no harm done.

Little Explorer
Above, she's enthralled with Josie's water bowl (and food bowl . . . yum). Evelyn often likes to go visit Josie's food dish while Josie is trying to eat. Like a good dog, Josie just backs away and watches, waiting for one of us to notice and redirect Evy, at which time, Josie can finish her dinner in relative peace.
Below, Evelyn's wearing a tutu and playing with dolls. Mom is so proud. As you can see, waving is pretty popular in our house right now. Squealing and screaming are also popular.
Below is an example of what happens when Evelyn is given access to the fridge. She's like a moth to the flame whenever I open the door. She sees the light, feels the cool air, and hurries over to see what she can find to snack on. Notice when I ask her what she is doing, she responds quite appropriately. You can imagine her saying, "Eating a peach, Mom."
Above is a video of Evelyn discovering Josie's doggy door for the first time. Sorry it's a little dark.
